Thankfully I haven't had to use one of these. These are for my IFAK and all things being equal I would rather not ever have to use, or had one used on me. That being said these seem to be made well and are packed in your typical sterile packaging. The inclusion of a small jelly pack is nice to aid in insertion. Good overall product.

You never know when you will need emergency assistance. I ordered these to go in my trauma pack and I feel relief knowing we have them. My partner is wilderness first aid certified so this was an easy choice to order. I would encourage you to professionally learn how to use this rather than just winging it, someone could get very hurt in the latter. The material of these are firm enough to utilize while still soft. Each NPA comes with sterile lubricating jelly. I hope we do not need to use these, but in the event that we do, we are trained and have them.

These are a great item to have in a medical kit with several other items, but without proper training or proper diagnosis of exhibited symptoms, these could potentially cause more harm than help. As another review mentioned, the improper use of this device cause severe injury to the patient. Proper instructional training should be received before using these. As far as the product goes, they are on par for the majority of nasal pharyngeal airways. Each airway is individually wrapped. These are a much more rigid version than I'm accustomed to, but will work should they ever need be deployed properly. All-in-all, these are a good addition to a properly stocked kit for the well trained and are good to have, but hopefully never have to use.

**Disclaimer: I hope this doesn't actually have to be said, but just in case, please do not go ANYWHERE near these unless you are thoroughly and professionally trained and comfortable using them. You can do incredible and irreversible damage to someone, let alone literally end a person's life! Do not try to be a hero or save the day or save someone if you are not professionally trained to do so. If you are not confident and do not know for sure what you are doing, do not purchase this product, and leave this to the trained medical professionals**FORTUNATELY I haven't had to use this product yet (or hopefully ever!), so I can only review them in comparison to others we have seen/used over the years. They seem as well-made and high-quality as anything we've seen in an ambulance or hospital. And I extra appreciate the inclusion of individual packets of lubrication, since that is absolutely necessary and most people don't just carry that around in their back pocket, to say the least (more power to you if you do though! LOL) Overall, this makes a perfect addition to our home and travel first aid kits... and we will just continue to hope that we never have to actually use them. But the peace of mind of knowing that we have them and have the ability to establish an airway under emergency circumstances while waiting for an ambulance to arrive is priceless and worth it.

Everything arrived as described. The NPAs are made of plastic as opposed to rubber. Manufacturing and expiration dates are provided. They are good for a bit over 2 years after manufacture. My lot is good for another 1.5 years. Keep note that these do not come with any instructions, so make sure you learn how to use them before putting them in your kit so that you do not cause further damage.

This is going into my emergency medical kit for the house. Since it is securely sealed, I didn't want to contaminate it by opening up the package. From what I could see and feel through the bag, it appears to be just as it was advertised.

If you know how to use these, they are a must for any serious IFAK or emergency response type kit. This five pack are all sized 7.0mm, which I think is likely the most common size needed, which is convenient.Individually packaged in a sterile package, allows for you to divide these up into multiple kits, or to just add them to your IFAK one or two at a time.Very happy with being able to pick these up for a review, and at the price at time of review (just under $20), they seem to be priced at about what you would expect to pay for a multi pack of NPAs.

These absolutely should only be used by individuals who are highly trained in their use. Even an "educated" amateur could inflict serious harm trying to use them. That being said, these seem to be a good quality and I think the price is very reasonable.

The sterile nasopharyngeal airways by Ever Ready First Aid come 5 individually wrapped in a package along with sterile 3g packets of water soluble lubricant jelly. The sterile packaging is excellent, they have a long shelf life as indicated on the individual packages, and the price of these is good. I have medical training and know that there are multiple emergency medical situations where a nasopharyngeal airway could be needed. If you are not a physician with experience and training on insertion of this type of airway, you should not do a nasopharyngeal airway insertion. I plan to add these to an emergency/survival/trauma kit to have on hand.

These are the Soft plastic/PVC type. Soft plastic are easier to insert as they are stiffer than the rubber and don't collapse but they are also easier to cause damage with. I prefer the rubber type personally since I have plenty of experience using them. Both will work well and I knew what I was getting when I got these. The Soft plastic ones are generally much cheaper. You get five individually packaged, sterile, 7mm NPAs + 5 lube packets. Overall very happy with them as an addition to several first aid kids I keep in cars. You can hurt and even kill someone with these if you don't know what you are doing. Get some training so you can do good and no harm.
